A duty to use one's talent
Sironka first discovered his artistic abilities as a child, and through the years he came to understand that his talent was a valuable resource from which he could launch his visions of community change and cultural awareness education. It was his talent as an artist that first brought him to the United States as a Fullbright art scholar. In the United States, he met individuals who were sympathetic to his vision of bringing change, opportunity, and empowerment to his home community, thus enabling him to begin his first tour with the Friends of Sironka dance troupe.

Teaching awareness through art
Sironka's artwork is a medium through which he teach concepts of culture, morality, or women's social issues. This painting of his shows a woman turning her husband's advances away, for she is still nursing a baby and is not ready for another.
